I feel very privileged to have worked alongside Louisa at WaterAid for a number of years and will always be grateful for the warm welcome she gave me when I joined WaterAid in 2015.  Louisa was the international development professional we all aspire to be. She had an in-depth understanding of international development and what was needed, she was passionate about her work and communicated that passion constantly, inspiring those around her to go that extra mile - as she did, often being the last to leave the office on a Friday night.  She was a brilliant communicator (in multiple languages) and always put others first. It was never about her, but always about the children, women and communities we were working to support, and colleagues across the world whose work she tirelessly promoted, and her office colleagues who she made smile with a chat or a hug or by penning the lyrics to the next Christmas song.  Simon
